Gulval Res drew 1 - 1 with Pendeen Res on Tuesday night. Gulval started off the better of the two teams and dominated for the first 30 minutes with some neat passing and good movement. After 25 minutes gulval took the lead when Dave Randell played in Simon James down the right who pulled the ball back to Stuie Cooper to finish from just inside the box. Gulval then started to relax and Pendeen slowly started to come back into the game and just before half time managed to score an equliser when Shaun Sweeney found some space inside the box and after taking it around the keeper calmly slotted it into the net.
In the second half Gulval continued to play well and were creating chances but Pendeen always looked dangerious on the counter attack and it took some good play by the defence to thwart them and on the one occasion they broke through Liam Steven saved well. There were some heavy challenges as the game went on from some of the Pendeen players as frustrations grew and possibly in a league match a few would have seen red. In the end though the game finished with a draw and was a good workout for both teams.
Gulval Res next game is at Marazionon Saturda, kick off 4:30.
