Rob Gall started his managerial career with a convincing 3-1 win over local rivals Madron. Gulval dominated for large parts of the game and looked threatening everytime they went forward. Richard James scored from the edge of the area mid-way through the first half and Anthony Nicholas added a second from a tight angle to give Gulval a two goal lead at the end of the half. Gulval continued to create chances in the second half but looked to be happy to sit on the lead at times and sloppy play allowed Madron back into the game when their forward rounded the Ben Reeve in goal and slotted the ball home. Gulval responded straight away and pushed hard for another goal and after a series of corners Phil Harvey nodded home a perfectly placed cross from Stuart Cooper.
Everyone played well and it was a good start to the season for the Reserves.
